With the help of this place nature proved its consummate mastery of architect. The nature gave us a unique construction of basalt columns-polyhedrons and fascinates us by their shapeliness of geometric figures. Not to bore spectators by uniformity of shape, unsurpassed sculpture of basalt “fan” is found there. All this was made in framing of crystal water.

Not far from Rivne there is a place where Horyn River was divided and two river beds surrounded a small strip of land, and in such a way they created a kind of island. This place is perfect for nature and old time lovers, as on island there was ancient castle and St. Nicholas Church. People used to reach the island with a help of wooden narrow bridge. Nearby, on the bank of the Horyn River there is the village, Horodok.

The village Sosnove is known to many tourism and nature lovers, as it is situated on picturesque banks of Sluch River, not far from it there are Sokolyni Mountains and Nadsluchanski regional landscape park that has rich fauna and flora.

Arboretum in Berezne
Arboretum in Berezne was founded in 1979 not far from the forest college, when from initiative of the former headmaster Novosad M.M. works on arboretum creation began. Foresters managed to place examples of plants from five continents on 30 hectors of vacant plot of ground in conditions of Polesia. Nowadays there are over 900 species of trees.

Yuzephinski arboretum is the remains of former farm stead where a lot of trees were left. It is famous for rare oak trees that are more than 500 years old.
From the 15th century this place belonged to Ukrainian-Lithuanian dukes Radzyvyl. That is why former forests were called Radzyvylivski forest. Radzyvil dukes were rulers of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in the 1930s .

The town, mentioned in Ipatiivski chronicle in 1100, became a centre of education, culture and science in the Eastern Europe. There are a lot of culture and architecture monuments, among them is medieval Murovyna (XIV-XIX) and Round Tower (XV-XVI), Lutsk (XVI) and Tatar’s (XVI) gateways, St. Epiphany Cathedral (XV-XIX), the Catholic Church of Virgin’s Assumption (XIX), Synagogue (XVI) and other.

Korets – Novograd-Volynski
Korets is the town near the bank of the river Korchyk. Its name was first mentioned in Ipatiivski chronicle in 1150. In 1620 St. Trinity Monastery was established here. Complex of monastery buildings was formed in the 17th – beginning of the 20th century. It is situated in the central part of the town and is one of the ancient monasteries in the country. St. Trinity Monastery building and high dominants of this building (tower above the Trinity Monastery and bell-tower) make silhouette of Korets most ancient part more expressive and special.

Dubno – Pliasheva
Dubno is known from 1100. It is one of the ancient Volyn towns, which always was in the centre of important historic and political events, in the centre of trade roads. It was the centre of spirit life of the land. Dubno was founded and built by the princes of Ostroh, who were men of influence and power in the 15th and 17th century. It has all features of medieval town.

In 1651 during the Uprising headed by Bogdan Khmelnytski near village Pliasheva one of the greatest battles in the world, known as the Battle of Berestechko took place. More than 10 thousand Cossacks and peasants died during this tragic battle. In 1910-1914 temple-monument devoted to Cossacks who died in the battle was built. The bones of Cossacks and peasants were carried into the temple.
