Winter! Snow! Skiing! That is the best word combination for those, who loves active winter rest. We offer you to spend your time in winter in the Carpathians. More and more alpine skiers visit wonderful land of Cheremosh and Prut each year. We hope that this year you will join them.

The Carpathians is one the most popular alpine skiing massif in Europe. It is rich in unique culture region. In Ukraine the Carpathians cover Zakarpattya, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Chernivtsi regions with area 24 thousand square km. Region is also divided into Prykarpattya and Zakarpattya regions. Prykarpattya consists of Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv and Chernivtsi region.

Mountains are igneous and not very high, average height is 1200-1400 meters. The highest peak is Hoverla Mountain (2061) that is found in villages Yasinia and Yablunytsia. Other high mountains, Mt. Petros, Mt. Homiak, and Mt. Pip-Ivan are situated nearby. Mountain peaks are covered by snow for almost 5 month. There are places for skiing in all regions. Tourist centers and sanatoriums have places for skiing and snowboarding.

The most popular alpine skiing resorts are Bukovel, Dragobrat, Slavske, and Yablunets. Each resort is unique: Bukovel is the largest alpine skiing resort in the Carpathians, Dragobrat is the highest, Slavske is the most expensive. There are slopes of different height and difficulty. Alpine skiing season lasts from December to March. However, there are a lot of less famous resorts, such as Tysovets, Oriavchyk, Yaremche, Kosiv, Tatariv, Yasinia and others.

The Carpathians is the best place for those who like active rest. You will never forget your rest in the Carpathians.
